Strut & Cable - Now Available

Konnect Fastening Systems® have expanded their product range and is offering strut and cable tray solutions. This assists Konnect in becoming a one stop shop for their customers. Strut and cable tray are designed for the plumbing, heating, ventilation, fire suppression and electrical industries, along with many other mechanical applications.

Strut

Strut (also known as channel) is a versatile product that has a range of applications from light steel framing to supporting electrical tray and can be used for plumbing purposes. Konnect’s range of strut is manufactured to 41mm x 41mm wide and is available in a range of thicknesses, including 2.5mm which allows for greater loads. Konnect keeps other dimensions in stock to suit all applications. Plain strut is available in 6mtr lengths in either Galvabond or Hot Dip Galvanized finishes.

Konnect also offers slotted strut, which can be used to support ducting amongst other applications. The slotted strut allows attachment to any surface such as concrete, walls, ceilings, floors, and other steel work. Konnect’s range of slotted strut is also available in a ribbed version. Both slotted strut and ribbed slotted strut is available in a Galvabond finish and various heights, including 41mm and 21mm. Currently only the 41mm high slotted strut is available in Hot Dipped Galvanised finish however other finishes are available upon request. All slotted strut is available in 6mtr lengths and is easily secured to cable trays or pipe racking.

Konnect has complemented their strut range with the inclusions of strut brackets. Our range of strut brackets are used alongside strut and other fittings to provide support for strut channels to help construct framing and industrial structures. They are an interconnection mechanism that attaches two components and helps carry the weight between the two. Brackets include angle brackets, adjustable hinges, cantilever brackets, flat plates, Angular Z brackets, U Brackets, floor brackets, rod hangers, beam clamps and slotted angle.

 

Cable Tray

Cable trays are a great way of safely and effectively organising cables on site. The cable tray features a high 40mm laying depth and come in widths from 150mm to 450mm in 3 metre lengths. This product offers continuous support for cables, are light weight, and quick and easy to install. Generally, meaning changing over cabling services over the lifetime of a project is an easy process.

Konnect Fastening Systems® also offers the accessories that accompany the system to provide easy on-site fabrication. Accessories include hold down brackets, link plates, radius plates, splice plates and tray gussets.

  • Hold down brackets are used to safely secure the cable tray to a length of channel sturt. These can be used to make tees, riders, bends and crosses.
  • The link plate creates a rider or vertical bend in a length of cable tray.

  • Radius plates can be used to create a bend in the length of a cable tray.
  • Splices allows the installer to easily join two lengths of tray together and are installed on the inside of the tray’s side wall.
  • Tray gusset can create a tee or cross style join between lengths of cable tray. Two tray gussets are required to make a tee and four are required to make a cross.
